Inside the detention walls of the Correctional Institute for Women Mindanao facility, where freedom seemed a distant memory, a group of talented women found a way to let their spirits soar through their artwork that turned into products in store.

These are the women artisans of Project Kagawasan, a remarkable initiative by the House of Musa that turns confinement into an array of endless possibilities.

With every stroke of a painting brush and the artistic manipulation of the Musa Fabric, these women artisans transcend their surroundings, finding liberty in their creativity.

"Kagawasan" from the Visayan dialect means freedom is not just about creating livelihood opportunities; it is a reminder that true freedom is a state of mind—illuminated and limitless, like the light shining from within these exquisite works of art.
